Why are we doing it if calorie deficit is the only way to get lean? So I did say that, and that’s what we preach here. You can do all the cardio you want, but if you’re not in a calorie deficit at the end of the day, you’re not going to lose any fat. There are no fat burning exercises, no such thing. But that doesn’t mean we’re not going to do HIIT in class. Things like burpees and small doses of assault bike, jump rope, all those things with the right delivery and mitigating the impact, translates to more than just aesthetics. What it does is aids us with internal health. Things like lowering your heart rate, decreasing your blood pressure.
